Who decides when we are past our prime?
Many people in every generation continue to function actively right up until they die. However, for most of us, during the course of our lives, our sensory-motor systems continually respond to the daily stresses and traumas with specific muscular reflexes. These reflexes, repeatedly triggered, create habitual muscular contractions, which we cannot-voluntarily-relax. Eventually, these contractions become unconscious and we experience stiffness, soreness and a restricted range of movement. We no longer remember how to move freely. Revive Yoga is a unique movement experience which helps each participant cultivate two innate human abilities: to unlearn what has been learned and remember what has been forgotten. During a Revive Yoga class, you will learn direct and effective ways to reprogram your own sensory-motor system and find your way back to movement freedom. I teach Revive Yoga because I believe that as we grow older, our bodies, and our lives, should continue to improve, right up until the very end.
